Anniversary
Divers at Blue Lagoon in Truk Lagoon dove the Aikoku on Saturday, Feb 17, 2024, for the 80th anniversary of the sinking of that ship. Blue Lagoon founder Kimiuo Aisek used to say it was his favorite dive. As a teen, he also had a Japanese friend who was a sailor on that ship and died in the attack so it always had special significance for Kimiuo. A ceremony occurred Friday at Blue Lagoon hosted by the local Chuukese community and legislators. Grandson Advin Aisek and other hotel guests attended and at the end they released wreaths into the water. (video courtesy Danny Holland)

EZDive has been in business for many years and is based in Taiwan as the only bilingual dive magazine featuring English and Chinese.

FREE WiFI in the ROOMS Now!!
(August 1, 2023) - YES, it's true. It has been a long time coming but all the rooms now have FREE Fibre Optic WiFi. Workers completed the installations in June and July of this year and you can now sit in air-conditioned comfort or have a cocktail on the balcony and catch up on your e-mails and internet happenings, send some pix to social media to make friends jealous and just know that you're now connected. It's all free and the dining room, function rooms, bar area and most spots on the grounds also have WiFi now. According to General Manager Advin Aisek, "It's pretty good 'n fast."

Rooms Ready
May 5, 2023 - When we opened the resort after the pandemic closure, we also opened some eyes. We spent our pandemic downtime well with the first renovation of Blue Lagoon Resort since 1998. We have installed double-headed showers with marble walls and flooring. We have recessed lighting on each bed in all the rooms plus new mattresses, walls, tables, patio tables, bathroom fixtures, desks and flat screen TVs and many more amenities sure to help you enjoy our spacious rooms. The dining room interior was also repainted as are all the main buildings. New roofs also now cover our compound structures. The dive shop has greatly expanded the equipment storage areas by the docks as well. We hope you enjoy our comfortable furniture and new look.
